Carolina Posada co-directs the area of Conflict Resolution and focuses her practice in domestic and international arbitration.
She has more than 23 years of experience in dispute resolution before civil and administrative courts, as well as in domestic and international arbitration tribunals, with proven track-record of success representing local and foreign clients. Her professional practice covers the topics of contractual liability, damages, insurance and reinsurance, distribution contracts, corporate and M&A disputes, construction and infrastructure, among others.
She is a domestic arbitrator of the Centers of Arbitration of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota and of Bucaramanga; a domestic and international arbitrator of the Centers of Arbitration of the Chamber of Commerce of Medellin and the Chamber of Commerce of Cali, and an international arbitrator of AMCHAM Peru. Also, she is a sports arbitrator of the Chamber of Dispute Resolution of the Federacion Colombiana de Fútbol (in English: Colombian Soccer Federation) and of the Chamber of Commerce of Cali.
She is a member of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Arbitraje (ALARB for its acronym in Spanish) (in English: Latin American Arbitration Association) and has acted as an expert in Colombian law before the courts of the United States.
Carolina has been recognized as a leader in her field by important publications such as Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500, Best Lawyers and Who’s Who Legal, among others. Banchmark Litigation has included her for 3 consecutive years in the “Top 25Latam Women in Litigation” list.
In 2019, Carolina was recognized as the best litigator in Latin America by Euromoney Legal Group.
She has been admitted to practice law in Colombia since 1997.
