THE DEADLINE TO CONDUCT REGISTRATION BEFORE THE NATIONAL DATABASE REGISTRY EXPIRES ON NOVEMBER 8th, 2016
The Superintendence of Industry and Trade has reminded that people handling personal data must register before the national database registry by November 8th 2016.
External Circular No. 2 regulates the way in which people and companies that are registered before the Chambers of Commerce must handle third party personal data. Failure of registration within the provided deadline may entail penalties of up to 200 monthly minimum legal wages, suspension of activities related with data handling for up to 6 months, and final or temporary shutdown of data handling related operations.
