NEW COLLECTIVE MARKS FOR COLOMBIAN HANDRCRAFTS ARE REGISTERED
The Colombian Trademark Office granted the trademarks Tambó Ri Palenge and Red Faisán as collective marks.
Collective marks are usaully defined as signs which distinguish the geographical origin, material, mode of manufacture or other common characteristics of goods or services of different enterprises using the collective mark.
Trademark Red Faisán was granted to distinguish pulsed string musical instruments from the luthiers of the Manufacters Corporation of Musical Instruments of Santander (FAISAN). For its part, the Tambó Ri Palenge was awarded for the musical instruments created by the luthiers of the Palacque Tambores Corporation.
