AGREEMENT BETWEEN INVIMA AND MERCADO LIBRE
THE COLOMBIAN AUTHORITY INVIMA, IN CHARGE OF CONTROLLING AND MONITORING THE QUALITY AND SAFETY OF PHARMACEUTICALS, MEDICAL DEVICES, FOODS AND COSMETICS IN COLOMBIA, ENTERED INTO AN ALLIANCE WITH THE ONLINE SALES PLATFORM MERCADO LIBRE, TO STRENGTHEN THE CONTROL OVER THE SALES OF PRODUCTS THAT MAY NOT COMPLY WITH HEALTH STANDARDS OR WHOSE ADVERTISING MIGHT BE MISLEADING TO THE CONSUMER.
The agreement was signed within the celebration of the I Work Table Strategies of Fight Against Illegality, Contraband and Corruption of Products Under the Competence of Invima”, held at the University Sergio Arboleda in Barranquilla on November 23 and 24 of 2015.
This agreement is intended for accelerating the sanitary authority´s ability to easily identify ads that violate current health regulations and consequently request the removal of platform ads that incur in such violations in a more simple and effective way.
