Posse Herrera Ruiz as a firm is part of the Assistance to Inventors Program led by WIPO. The objective of the program is to provide assistance and advice in the patent application prosecutions to low-income Colombian inventors.
We amend the patent document of an invention filed before the Colombian Patent Office, a new patent application was submitted, and an international application was filed through the Patent Cooperation Treaty – PCT.
Currently, we are advising the patent application prosecution in Colombia and the national phases in Spain, Peru, and Mexico.

FUNDACIÓN AYUDA A LA INFANCIA – HOGARES BAMBI
– Legal counsel regarding the procedure for transferring the public areas to the District for the Hogar Bambi located in Bogotá.
– Legal advice in the defense of Foundation interests related with construction licenses in properties near to Hogar Bambi located in the municipality of Calima El Darién. The advice included filing administrative actions for urban infractions and the accompaniment in a judicial proceeding (constitutional action (acción de tutela).

Posse Herrera Ruiz is part of the Colombian ProBono Foundation, a non-profit and non-governmental organization committed to expanding access to justice and to provide high quality legal assistance to underprivileged people, communities and to the social organizations that assist these citizens in Colombia.
The vision of the foundation is to institutionalize the pro bono culture among Colombian Lawyers through the creation of inclusive spaces that link professionals committed to social responsibility who then donate their time and professional effort to provide access to justice in our country.

RURAL SCHOOLS “ASRURAL”
Juan Guillermo Ruiz, as legal representative of ASRURAL, leads the implementation of the French alternative formation focused to rural schools. Currently with 400 boarding students, they develop entrepreneurial farming skills.
One of the schools had the highest Government testing (ICFES) grades in its province and the student with the highest score in the exams.
